One of the things I admire most about this man, aside from his great musical talent, was the person he was. At the height of his musical career and fame he walked away from it all when he obtained custody of his daughter. He felt it was more important to raise his daughter and be a father, more important than the fame and fortune he was experiencing. He took on jobs as a custodian, computer programmer, whatever he could find. He raised his daughter, put her through college and went back to school to finish his degree. He never regretted it, never looked back, and never considered it a loss to put his daughter first before himself. In the end the music business rediscovered his work and brought him back out of obscurity to have even greater success and a wider audience over the last 20+ years than he enjoyed in the first 20 years of his career. In the end he won no matter what, and showed that you can do the right thing and still win..
